Fomer Majority Leader and Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale has termed the year 2020 as sorrowful one to him after he lost his mother whom he referred a pillar in the family and his brother who died in car accident.
He described his brother as an instrumental person who was well known in Garissa and named him top General in his politics
Duale said losing the coveted seat of Majority Leader in Parliament was not a big thing compared to losing loved ones.
In an interview with Citizen TV, the flaymbout Garissa Township Lawmaker Aden Duale at his farm in Modika is seen as a man who values livestock particularly cows. He was wearing Somali dress code (kikoi) and the Stick symbolizing an elder.
Duale further said the year 2020 marked his ouster by the Jubliee party from the leadership in Parliament which he attributed to wrangles in the party. But Duale hastened to confirm he has a cordial relationship with the party Leader President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy party Leader, Deputy President Dr William Ruto.
Duale said “I have a long Political friendship with William Ruto, a man whom we have served in many political parties together”.
Regarding politics that precipitated his ouster Duale said Jubille party had inside wrangles and blamed outsiders working to wreck the party.
Duale noted “I was playing save and believe in reconciliation always. I agreed with the president to give space during the first Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting and the Second PG”.
Duale who gave a reflection of the seven and half years in office said the office as the Leader of Majority party was a powerful one and Kenyans will judge his performance and achievement during the tenure.
Statistics show Duale is still popular in Kenyan politics and has a big say in Somali politics as well.
