Wagalla Ganyure Member of County Assembly Hon. Abdinoor Ahmed has laid down his good track record in defending his seat ahead of August 9, 2022 General Election.
The influential County Assembly Lawmaker is a Member of County Assembly Service Board (CASB) representing the minority party. He is also serving in various committees in the Assembly such as Finance, Budget and Appropriation, Water, Energy and Environment as well as Committee on People with Disability.
Abdinoor, who has invested in development and utilized the Ward Development Funds diligently has something to celebrate for the electorates in his re-election bid.
Health sector is the biggest legacy Abdinoor is proud of as well as water, education and sports among other recognized achievements.
Further on health sector, there are key priority projects among them a laboratory for Wagalla health center and a dispensary while Wachir dispensary was completed and fenced stalled project of the last regime and its awaiting equipping and staffing. He has fenced Barmil dispensary and done its renovation, fenced and renovated Mau Mau dispensary and installed solar for Barmil health center. He further funded the fencing of Ganyure dispensary. The Mca lobbied for the fencing of shanta Abaq dispensary and renovation of staff quarters that was not in use.
On education sector, two ECD classrooms have been put up for Boa town, three ECD classrooms for Shantabaq town, three ECD classrooms and toilets for Ganyure location, and two ECD classroom for Kukale.
Other Development projects the Mca has pumped funds into in Wagalla ward is the distribution of over 20 generators to the farmers across the ward. He has further distributed over 30 refrigerators and sewing machines to small business owners in the ward apart from doing repairs for the road from Kukale town to Kukale primary school.
The Mca has initiated distillation and fencing of Bojiyare Dam together with putting up an underground tank for the same dam. He also undertook desilting of Boa water pan and construction of underground water tank at boa.
Fencing Barmil dam and afforestation for both Wagalla Memorial Center and Wagalla primary school. Milk shed to assist milk vendors at Wagalla as well as distribution of solar panels and water tanks to some farmers are other achievement he has show cased ahead of the August polls.
Other landmark achievements by the Mca include construction of public toilets at Wachir, baraza shed at Wachir and ensuring access between shanta abaq and showli to ease mobility.
Inside the County Assembly, Mr Abdinoor has sponsored many successful bills that were passed and today are serving the interests of Wajir people. The Solid waste management bill which the MCA has sponsored is on the first reading stage.
In his second term bid Mr Abdinoor is planning strategies among others camping at the Ward to sell his achievements in a bid to recapture the seat a second term.
Mr Abdinoor in an interview with ARF Media said “my first term leadership was impactful to the people of Wagalla Ganyure ward as I have utilized the resources well that will act as visa for my re-election bid a second term”.
He continued “we’re going to keep building on our progress in the coming months ahead of the August polls”
Displaying his good track record on development, Mr Abdinoor’s reelection bid is a proof that he is head of his competitors.
