Wajir Governor Ambassador Mohamed Abdi and First lady Mrs Kheira Omar early this morning led a heavy convoy to Wajir International Airport to see off Degodia King Wabar Abdille as he left for Mandera County.
Wabar Abdille has been in Wajir for the last five days where he met representatives of different communities in the County with a mission of urging them to coexist and live in peace.
King Wabar Abdille in one of the meeting held at Governor’s residence delivered a message calling on the communities to burry animosity and live as one people by carrying the name of Somali as well as avoiding anything that can lead to their disunity. Other meetings were held in different venues within the County.
The County boss Governor Ambassador Mohamed Abdi assured the Wajir people that the Wabar Abdille message was a paramount one. “We as people of Wajir County need to adhere to the Degodia King message”, he added.
The Governor endorsed Wabar Abdille’s message saying the County will grow, developed and prosper if people live together as one Community.
The Governor promised that his administration will bring people together across the six sub counties assuring that every person will have access to his administration.
The Degodia King is in the country for 21 days and has held meetings with communities representatives. He will leave Kenya for Ethiopia on December 19.
