Leader of Majority Party in the National Assembly who is on a visit in the US has met and held talks with Congress Woman Ilhan Abdullahi Omar.
Duale who is also a member of Kenyan Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs used his talks with Ms Omar to discuss various issues.
“We discussed a wide range of issues of between the legislatures, matters refugees , Kenya’s contribution to the peace , security and stability in the Horn of Africa and the fight against extremism”, Duale confirmed in a post on his Facebook Page.
Ms Omar is a Somali American politician in the U.S. Representative for Minnesota which is the 5th congressional district .
She is the first Somali-American, the first naturalized citizen from Africa, and the first non-white woman elected from Minnesota.
Ms Omar (37) is a mother of three and also one of the first two Muslim women along with Rashida Tlaib of Michigan to serve in Congress.
