Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale has told off COTU boss Francis Atwoli for challenging his leadership in the August House.
Duale told Atwoli, the Secretary General of Central Organization of Trade Unions to keep off business of Parliament and concentrate his energies on Kenyan workers.
The Garissa Township Legislator who spoke in Nairobi today, was responding to Atwoli’s tirades against him.
The COTU boss was quoted over the weekend saying Duale should suffer the same fate like what befell Senators Kipchumba Murkomen (Leader of Majority), Susan Kihika (Majority Whip) and lately Prof Kithure Kindiki (Deputy Speaker), who have been removed because of their association with Deputy President William Ruto.
Atwoli even went further to vow that he would campaign for the removal of Duale from the posh Parliamentary position accusing him of tabling a bill against workers interests.
Duale hit back at the Unionist telling him to respect the worker he was doing in Parliament for the success of Jubilee Governnent agenda.
“It is unfortunate for a person of Atwoli’s age instead of spreading peace is propagating hatred”, said Duale.
He defended his work in Parliament saying it was above board in promoting Governnent agenda.
Atwoli who appeared not privy to Parliament business was accusing Duale of tabling ant-workers bill while as Majority Leader whatever he presented in the House was what the interest of the Governnent.
Duale accused Atwoli of disrespectful to Governnent officers diligently doing their work for the success of Governnent.
“Atwoli should not interfere with my work in Parliament which I am committed to deliver for success of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Governnent”, said Duale.
