Tarbaj Member of Parliament Eng Ahmed Bashane has camped in his Constituency for more than a week now where he was engaged in sensatizing members of the Community on Security matters.
Together with his counter part from Wajir East Rashid Kasim Amin last week visited Konton and Korof-harar areas jointly with Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Soldiers where they conducted sensitisation programs in the fight against terrorism being spearheaded by Somali based Al-shabaab.
At Korof-Harar Eng Bashane underscored the importance for locals to work with Security teams be it police, KDF or community policing so as to flash out Al-shabaab militants from the County.
The MP showed heavy support to President Uhuru Kenyatta who is the Commamder- in Chief of the Defence Forces and security agencies for standing on the front line in defending the Nation against any security threat.
Eng Bashane has exmplified himself in the frontline in spearheading the war against terror. He has urged his electorate to closely work with the security team to guarantee the security of the Constituency.
After the Security sensitisation exercise the MP shifted his gears to Development initiative in the constituency where he held a public participation session with with his electorate on the way forward in coming up with the 2020 Strategic Plan on how to develop the Constituency and which project to be prioritise.
The MP further conducted a series of meetings with both Elders and Professionals to discuss both Security issues as well as how to improve the Constituency interms of development.
For the first time MP Eng Bashane has transformed the Constituency image both in the issuance of bursary funds where he has heavily invested in Education. He has also taken it upon himself to ensure water, health and roads are improved.
It should also be noted that National Government projects have also been set and implemented in Tarbaj Constituency through courtesy of the MP.
Should a scorecard is carried in Tarbaj Constituency Eng Bashane will be rated among the top performing legislators not only in Wajir County, but Kenya in General.
