Wajir Senator Dr Abdullahi Kabreta Rallies Batalu Voters to elect Jimal Abdi as their MCA.

Dr Abdullahi Ali Kabreta, the Wajir Senator today led a mamoth campaign rally that was held at Buna baraza park to popularize Jimal Abdi ahead of Batalu ward by-election.

He was accompanied by the Wajir North MP Ahmed Abdisalan and Wajir North Members of the County Assembly.

The rally was attended by many people who welcomed the leaders and promised to vote for Jimal Abdi who is the ODM cadidate for Batalu ward By-Election.

During the rally, the climax was when Jimal Abdi was blessed by Wajir North Community led by its Leadership, Elders, Youth and Women for having battled through the Court process until Supreme Court nullified the 2017 election.

Senator Dr Kabreta, addressing the electorate urged them to come in large numbers on 18th, December, 2019 during the by-election and vote for Jimal since he has been endorsed by the largest populace of Wajir North.

Dr Kabreta also said elections come and go but what remains for all is to maintain peace and unity all the time especially for the people Batalu ward.

“We are in a Democratic state which is governed by the rule of law and therefore lets stay in peace now and even after the elections”, Senator Kabreta added.

On current debate on the BBI Report the Senator threw weight behind the proposals in the report and congratulated the 14-Member taskforce team led by Senator Yussuf Haji of Garissa County for taking their time and coming up with a document that has been accepted by Kenyans.

The Senator said the unity deal between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Rt Honourable Raila Odinga commonly referred as ‘Handshake’ has neutralised the political temperatures and the implementation of BBI Report will unite Kenyans at the same time address electrol Injustices and create Inclusivity within the Government.

Wajir North MP Ahmed Abdisalan and MCAs from Wajir North also threw weight behind the candidature of Jimal and urged Batalu electorate to vote for him come 18th December 2019 the date that the by-election will be held.
