RK-Fully Sponsors 100 Driving School Students at Al-maaruf College

Wajir East Member of Parliament Rashid Kasim Amin today launched a program for the Constituency Youth Empowerment program where he sponsored through his office the training of 100 students in a driving course. The students will train at Al-maaruf driving school which forms part of his campaign pledges to undertake Youth Program initiatives.

The event was unveiled at the Al-maaruf driving school main office where the MP Amin was the chief guest and attended by all 100 students who are the beneficiaries. The overjoyed students were all smiles on their face as they were handed admission letters with fees for the Driving school fully paid.

Addressing the beneficiaries Mr Rashid Kasim said “My Leadership has great plans for the youth and this program I am launching today is just the beginning but it is going to ensure that the beneficiaries will get employment opportunities or even have one to employ himself or herself once they finished the school”.

The MP also expressed concern with unemployment among the Youth which he added leads them to immoral acts. He however added that gaving them engaged in skillful work will make them to earn at the end of the day and have income to sustain their living.

The MP noted that the youth who have no other formal education can be engaged in other fields of skillfull programs such as driving courses, plumber and electrician training.

Mr Amin further promised once the students finish their training school he will take them to National industrial training Authority for more training to prepare them for employment opportunities.

He further announced that starting next week his office will enrol others to join the local polytechnic to undertake courses in plumber, tailoring and electrician.

Mr Rashid Kassim Amin’s biggest legacy is Education and since taking office as Wajir East MP he has taken it as a major priority and students both from high school, tertiary institutions and Universities have enjoyed fully sponsored Education program.

Speaking to Arf Media the Manager of Al-maaruf driving School Mr Abdi Hussein Shina thanked the MP’s bold decision to sponsor such a big number of students, who 99% are coming from poor families and therefore couldn’t make through the training without such an intervention.

Mohamed Issack Ismail one of the beneficiaries said “We are grateful to our MP who is helping us as part of fulfilling his campaign pledges which is a sign of good leadership. Hon Amin has his people at his heart”. Ismail’s statement was echoed by different benificiaries who spoke to the media.

Putting Education as part of his key legacy Projects Mr Amin has initiated a fundamental investment on youth empowerment whose results will bear fruits in short and long term benefits.
