North Horr MP Chachu Ganya gives relief food to poor hit by COVID-19 slump

The Coronavirus Pandemic has remained the talk of the day across the globe following it’s devastating effects including death and economic downturn.

Kenya has not been left behind as the effects of COVID-19 are felt across all corners.

North Horr MP Hon Chachu Ganya has gone a notch higher in the fight against the virus. He has camped at his Constituency trying to monitor the situation and help his voters to overcome any challenges.

Part of his activities include distribution of foodstuff to the vulnerable members of the society. The foodstuff he has distributed was an assortment of Rice, beans and cooking oil.

The first phase of food distribution was meant to benifit three wards; North Horr, Dukana and Illeret.

Maikona and Turbi wards will be the next beneficiaries that are expected to receive in due course a similar assortment of foodstuff.

Those who have been identified to benefit from the food staff are less fortunate members of society in the Constituency.

On his official Facebook page the MP posted a confirmation of the current hard time for kenyans particularly those who are from Pastoralists Community like his Constituency which need help to cushion the problem like foodstuff that will go along way to curb starvation.

The Lawmaker also noted that such a time when the whole world is fighting Covid-19 “as leaders we will not forget our electorate who are in the needy hours, such time where disaster is the order of the day”.

The vulnerable people who received the foodstuff thanked the MP for his effort to stand with them particularly as this time where the Community is facing alot of challenges.

Hon Chachu Ganya who is at his Constituency is reaching the locals from ward to ward and educating them on the deadly Covid-19 disease pandemic.

The MP is advising members of the Community to follow the Government’s directive like washing hands throughout with soap and adhering to any other measures the government has put in place.
