No more water crisis in the ward, MCA Bunow assures electorate

Dadajabulla Member of Wajir County Assembly Adan Bunow yesterday led a heavy delegation in the headquarters of the Ward to present gifts to the primary and secondary schools following their exemplary performance in last year’s examinations.

Bunow, the chief guest was welcomed in style as his entourage sneaked into the town with the famous Disow Dance taking the center stage. Allulattion and cheers of mothers and students rocked the town.

The MCA who is also the Labour Committee chairperson rewarded the teachers and best students in both Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). They received trophies, cash money, revision examinations materials and certificates.

The schools also got footballs, school bags and hand pump.

Mr Adan Bunow In his address to students and parents said as the area MCA he will support the education sector to ensure that the ward excel in exams nationally.

Mr Bunow put the foundation stone in the primary school yesterday for one ECD class and two toilets both for female and male students. He assured the electorate that the projects will be completed in two weeks time.

The MCA has also done the piping for the secondary school to provide piped water, which before used to fetch water with donkeys.

Mr Bunow further assured of no water crisis in Dadajabulla town promising that starting next week piping system will commence and water kiosks will be put in many centers. Piping for homes too will be done, he added. “No more time for a poor mother or pregnant mothers to fetch water from a distance place” said Bunow.

The MCA also informed the public that he had met the County Public Service Board in order to have a female nurse to contact delivery for mothers.

Mr Bunow also asked the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) representative in the sub county to bring more teachers both in primary and secondary schools so that students perform well. This will also solve the teaching crisis in the northern region

The Sub-County TSC director Hussein Ugas MCA for Diif, Ahmed Shueb Bare and his Habasswein counterpart Dahir Hussein Abdirahman , elders and parents applauded Mr Bunow’s work in the ward.

Promoting Education by initiating development projects has remained a key agenda among politicians, and MCA Bunow is using the same to build a strong legacy a head of next year’s General Election.
