Leaders, citizens react to Duale ouster, weigh MP’s 7-year legacy as Majority Leader

Kenyans have continued expressing displeasure following yesterday’s President Uhuru Kenyatta second purge on perceived Deputy President William Ruto’s allies where Amos Kimunya replaced Aden Duale as the new Leader of the Majority Party in Parliament.

Kenyans supported Aden Duale, the Garissa Township MP for his exemplary service for the seven years in Parliament and said his removal could not be justified.

Reacting in differed social media outlets Kenyans said Duale being the first to hold that office under the 2010 constitution made history in propagating Governnent agenda in the August House.

Duale took office after 2013 General election when Jubilee Leadership led by President Kenyatta endorsed him as the leader of the Majority Party.

After the 2017 General Elections, the President and Party members again showed confidence in Duale for the second term in the same office.

However after his unceremonious dismissal yesterday Kenyans reacted bitterly with 100% of them saying Duale should not have been removed having worked diligently, honestly and with integrity.

Members of the Somali community across the globe showed their solidarity and confidence with Duale terming him as their sole leader and even within the Muslim Community.

Many Kenyans supported Duale saying he was never dishonest and disrespectful to President Kenyatta and even the head of State had always maintained confidence in his leadership in the Parliament.

In Parliament Duale used to push successfully all agendas of the Government and MPs from both sides of the house had confidence in him because he also catered for their welfare.

Duale’s key legacy as leader of the Majority Party was his success in pushing all the agendas of president Kenyatta perticularly the big 4 agenda.

Duale was at stake in pushing the implementation of all the President campaign pledges inside and outside Parliament.

In his capacity as the leader of the Majority Party Somali’s political stake had rose and today they enjoy state jobs like in the Cabinet, Chief Administrative Secretaries among other Governnent appointments.
