The face of Jimal Abdi Hassan expressed happiness. He was accompanied by close relatives including his top political adviser Mr Abdullahi Hirsi and Fomer Chairman CDF Wajir North Constituency Mr Abdiwahid Somo.

Jimal who had been unceremoniously denied his win during the 2017 general election, fought hard for this seat up to the Supreme Court of Kenya which finally ruled in his favour thereby facilitating the by election in December 18, 2019.

He is today celebrating the win he fought for to be sworn in as the Honourable Member of Wajir County Assembly.

Admnistratively, the preparation of the swearing in ceremony was coordinated by the CEO of Wajir County Assembly Mr Shalle Sheikh Mursal.

When Jimal rose to take the oath of office carrying the holy Quran at his right hand the mood in the house changed and everyone listened keenly as he recited quotes in the oath abdicating commitment to his electorate.

After the swearing in event ended, the deputy speaker Mowlid Issack read the speech of the speaker Mr Ibrahim Yakubu declaring the commencement of the House business and welcomed members from the long recess.
