Eldas Lawmaker Adan Keynan has launched a New-State-of-The-Art Ultra-Modern Eldas Secondary School. The new look gives the school an image that will make it the best in the region. The unique event at the school compound took place on Saturday July 10, 2021.
The school’s interior face was designed perfectly with new equipment both in the laboratory and office furniture.
The cool environment with afforestation, eye-catching and distance from town, the Eldas Secondary will be an institution that will produce excellent learners and future high dignitaries.
It was a colourful launch with Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha as chief guest. Also in attendance included H.E Ahmed Ali Muktar (Governor Wajir County), Dr. Abdullahi Ali Kabreta (Senator Wajir County), Ahmed Kolosh (Mp Wajir West), and Prof. Mohamud Sheikh (Wajir South MP).
Dr Keynan, a long serving Member of Parliament in the region has heavily invested in education sector by ensuring equal distribution of bursary kit to all especially, the needy. As a result Education has improved and now the mp is going for a quality education.
During last year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), the school recorded an improvement and now leading with ultra modern facility, will become a region’s star institution.
Sources tell Arf Media group that MP Adan Keynan has a long term strategy to make the school a national one and a giant in academy that will build one of the biggest legacy in the mp’s politics.
The influential Lawmaker, in his remarks said “I have interactced with Prof Magoha since he was the Vice Chancellor, University of Nairobi and now being chief guest in Eldas school. He is a man who is executing his mandate well”.
On his Twitter page Dr Keynan said “As leaders, we admit the transformative and impactful value of this call in the development of any society. This reason has informed the strategic approach of upgrading the education infrastructure to build capacity for schools and ensure a conducive environment for learners”.
Speaking to Wajir People Dr Keynan said County leaders led by the Governor and all MPs “are one and this journey we have started recently will lead us to unite our people and work for the interest of Wajir people”.
In his speech Prof Magoha said “today is my first time to come to Eldas and I am impressed with the new look of this school which is absolutely an academic excellence center”. The CS said the ball is with students to bring good marks as he applauded the MP for the good work.
