County 008 Governor Mohamed Abdi Mohamud receives Degodia King as he makes his First historic Visit to the County.

The Degodia King Wabar Abdille Wabar Abdi today landed in Wajir making his first Historic visit to the County since arriving in Kenya where he was received and held talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta at state house before meeting Somali Leaders at Crown Plaza Hotel.

The Degodia King’s visit to Kenya has brought together all Somalis across the horn of Africa as he portrays the symbol of unity for the community.

The Boeing flight that carried Wabar Abdille and his entourage landed at Wajir International airport around 11 am this morning where Governor Mohamed Abdi was at hand to receive him at the airport. The Governor was accompanied by other leaders and members of the Public.

After a colourful reception at the Airport, a heavy convoy well guarded by top security team in the county sneaked through the town streets giving the Degodia King Wabar Abdille an opportune moment to greet people until he arrived at Orahay ground where he led a big crowd in a Prayer session.

His big role has remained to lead Prayer occasions and whenever he goes he prays for the people with a message of peace.

The Degodia King Wabar Abdille will during the current visit in the County see other Community members living in the area as he spearheads the message of Peace urging communities to coexist peacefully.

Governor Mohamed Abdi who addressed the public as he ushered the King said the key message of King Wabar Abdille is Peace and Unity in the beloved County of Wajir.

Governor Mohamed Abdi in his speech promised that the King’s message of maintaining peace will be followed to the letter so that people live as one community in the County.

The County boss said peace which remains a fundamental undertaking for development to be witnessed in any part of the country will not be compromised in Wajir County.

Degodia King Wabar Abdille’s first day of his visit in Wajir County was seen as a success with thousands of people attending the Orahay ground public rally which culminated in a special prayer for peace.
