Ahmed Abdisalan, Sole ODM MP in Wajir, Pledges the lead BBI drive in Northern Kenya

The Wajir North Member of Parliament Ahmed Abdisalan today joined the Rt Honourable Raila Odinga and other leaders to popularize BBI agenda ahead of 2022 General election during a rally that was held at Bhukugu Stadium, Kakamega within the Mulembe Nation.

The Lawmaker is the only elected MP on ODM ticket who also acts as a Special Envoy of Raila in Wajir County.

During today’s event Ahmed Abdisalan declared “Wajir Is BBI” noting that BBI will create harmony and peace in the country.

The MP threw his weight behind BBI and asked the Mulembe Nation to support BB1 so that the country will not experience electoral Injustices again as has been the case in all the past polls.

Raila said through BBI, Kenya was poised to make tremendous development in all spheres. The ODM Leader’s statement was supported by Ahmed Abdisalan who promised to spearhead the BBI agenda in Wajir county.

In the recent Concluded Batalu Ward By-election the Legislator heavily campaigned for the ODM candidate who successfully won the seat and is now the MCa elected in the ward. This indicated his dedication to prove ODM is the party to watch in the County. He also wanted to display his interest for both the Community and the party as the only MP elected on ODM ticket.

Ahmed Abdisalan’s presence with Raila during the Bhukugu BBI Rally made him join the list of ODM leader’s trusted lieutenants. He was also identified as a key player in ODM politics in the rally that was also graced by Luhya Leaders; Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli.

The BBI rally was attended by Governors Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), who was the host, Ann Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Charity Kaluki Ngilu (Kitui) Prof Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) among others.
